While playing the game the golfer has permission to carry up to fourteen clubs during one round. Different clubs serve different purpose, and each short can be played with a different club.

So as not to confuse the golfer, the clubs are numbered, the clubs with the lowest loft having the lowest number. The loft of the club is important to determine the ascending trajectory of the golf ball. Apart from the tee shot the loft of the club is what gives the ball the counterclockwise spin, which aids in giving the ball lift by combining with the ball's rebound effect.

There are some questions which you need to ask before buying a club for yourself, they are... is the club long enough? Is the weight suitable for you? Does the grip hug the palms of your hands? Various brands are available so try out a friend's clubs for some time to know if that particular brand suits you or not.

The three-piece ball is also called the multi layer ball. This ball is used by players of intermediate category. This ball is softer than the previous one and gives a higher rate of spin. This is available for $28 - $45 a dozen.

Balls with higher performance- These balls are meant for players who have a lower handicap. This ball is not too durable and has a softer cover that gives more control. This design gives the players both high spin and greater distance.

Ball retrievers are indispensable to players so that they can retrieve their balls from all kinds of hazardous places. These retrievers work by using telescopic extensions that extend to about 4.5 meters. These help in lifting the golf balls from water with the help of the swiveling cup at the end.
